Accommodation of students:
A student applies to the Dean of Students to become a resident or a non-resident attached to Nkrumah Hall. Upon Dean of Students permission, a student is thus accommodated in the Hall either as private upon payment of accommodation fees or government sponsored student.
In accordance with the Universities and other Tertiary Institutions Act, 2001(as amended in 2003) and Makerere University Council Policy, the Department is charged with the responsibility of facilitating students’ welfare and discipline. The Department’s areas of responsibility include: lodging and boarding; sports and recreation; moral and spiritual guidance, leadership and life skills development; counseling and guidance as well as students’ discipline. In fulfilling this mandate, the department constantly liaises with other departments and University officials.
